Amendment 4 would require each of us to vote on every local comprehensive land-use plan change. If passed, it would have a devastating effect on our economy at a time when our economic situation is tenuous and when attracting new business to Florida is essential for recovery and prosperity.
Passage of the amendment will cost more than 260,000 jobs in various sectors. National and regional companies will steer clear of Florida’s disruptive business climate, choosing to relocate to other states. Our ability to attract industries with diverse, high-paying jobs will be dealt a death blow with the addition of new layer costs and uncertainty regarding approvals.
